Happy First Day of Fall 2017
Hello,
Busy getting ready to install Closet systems for my 2 Master Bedroom closets. I am splitting into Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer. Home Depot has amazing systems to chose from and we are going with White, with shelves and double hanging rods too. Will take a picture when they are complete.
In the meantime have been working on a Fall top, another Simplicity pattern 8417. Two different tops are shown, and I am sewing the middle look with straight 3/4 sleeves. That way my pretty black bracelet set can be seen. Will put it on my mannequin when it is complete, almost finished.
A friend in Seattle text me a few days ago asking if I knew of quash soup recipes. Have a great recipe for you. Very simple:
1 large Halloween Pumpkin (better to just draw and not cut this open)
Bring indoors and cut pumpkin open and take out the insides.
Cut into 10 to 12 smaller pieces and put onto a large baking sheet.
Bake for at least 45 minutes, test with fork for tender but not too soft.
While cooling decide how much soup you want and how much for side dishes.
Once cooled cut the pumpkin rind away, then cube the amount you would like.
Cut off the remainder of rind and then get ready to make soup.
The soup is very simple, depending on how much pumpkin, start adding unsweetened Almond Milk, and Cinnamon. Coconut milk is also great for this recipe, but watch for sugar content.
You can use a blender or your favourite machine. And know that this is very healthy and you made it!
Put the soup and chunks into Freezer bags, lay flat on baking sheet until frozen. Then you can store easily in freezer, standing up or laying down. I have actually make this 2 years in a row, also keep one small bag of pumpkin for my dog. In she has upset tummy this is great for her.
Cant wait to post pictures, hard to take any when I am by myself, I like using my IPad, it takes great pictures.
Have a great weekend, and find you beautiful.
